In Their Own Story

Luv first appears when K visits the Wallace Corporation to investigate the remains of a female replicant who died during a caesarean section. She is sent by Wallace to monitor K's progress in locating the replicant child. After K fails his baseline test and goes rogue, Luv tracks him to the ruins of a radioactive Las Vegas using a tracker placed by prostitute replicant Mariette. There, she kidnaps Deckard, destroys Joi, and leaves K injured. She then transports Deckard to meet Wallace, who offers Deckard a duplicate Rachael in exchange for information about the child's whereabouts. When Deckard refuses, Luv kills the duplicate on Wallace's orders. As she prepares to transport Deckard off-world for torture, K intercedes. In the ensuing fight, K drowns Luv, but is mortally wounded in the process.
